I’m so glad you joined me at Slices of Hope!
Our stories are most meaningful when shared with others. This includes our joys and brokenness, our moments of clarity and uncertainty, our laughter and tears. I look forward to connecting with you as we embrace our stories and share together.
Most days, I consider it all joy as wife to the professor who loves to run and mom to four tweens and teens who live life fully. After many years of early childhood teaching and working at a church, I most enjoy filling my days with writing projects, opportunities to speak with groups, and ongoing renovations on our family’s fixer upper home. It’s delightful offering coaching/tutoring sessions with students and taking classes whenever possible. For now, my reality also includes working in intervention at a local elementary school and meeting some amazing students each day.
My version of “These are a Few of My Favorite Things” song would include…
movies by the fireside with our family,
reading and writing,
baking bread and creating doughful delights,
listening to Onbeing podcasts,
gathering people together,
taking long walks with our family’s mini Goldendoodle,
enjoying a Fair Trade dark-roast cup of coffee.
And, I love children’s literature. Currently I’m working on several stories related to adoption. Oh glory! It cannot wait to share them with you… now to find a publisher!
My life has messy, broken pieces . Yet it’s hope that keeps me going. I see and experience slices of hope through my story and stories of those around me.
Wherever life leads, I’m passionate about journeying with young and old through the awesomeness and awfulness of life.
Let’s journey together!
